A Patented Concept
A high-performance solution for plenum treatment
Acoustibloc™ consists of a cover designed to prevent acoustic wool particles from floating in the air and infiltrating ventilation ducts. This cover also compresses and densifies the wool, providing greater stability and acoustic efficiency when stacked in plenums to create a barrier. The cover features a decompression pocket to fill small gaps of a few inches when needed. Acoustibloc™ is also ideal for metal deck (Steel Deck) applications and raised floor plenums.

Acoustiblocs passed the ASTM E84-24 test with flying colors, achieving Class A ratings for both flame spread and smoke emission — placing them in the same category as concrete blocks.

Prior installation of technical systems
Mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems (HVAC, sprinklers, electrical, etc.) are installed first in the plenums. This approach allows for better accessibility and considerably accelerates project progress.

Continuous suspended ceiling installation
The ceiling is installed across the entire surface without interruption. This method eliminates complex cuts around partitions and ensures faster, more uniform execution.

Partition installation below the ceiling
Partitions (drywall or demountable glass systems) are then installed below the ceiling. This simplifies implementation and eliminates the sealing work typically required at the partition head.

Add the Acoustibloc blocks
Acoustiblocs are finally stacked above the partitions to create an effective acoustic barrier. This step ensures the continuity of acoustic treatment and limits sound transmission between spaces.

Do they require maintenance?
Acoustiblocs require no particular maintenance. Their closed fabric envelope protects them and limits the emission of particles. They remain effective year after year.

Do they work with all ceiling types?
Acoustiblocs can be installed above any type of suspended ceiling.

Can I install them by myself?
Acoustiblocs are very easy to install and do not require any particular certification. Simply stack them, under pressure, between the suspended ceiling and the upper concrete slab or steel decking. Being very flexible, they can easily adjust to anything that can be found in a floor or ceiling plenum.
